* gnu/system.scm (union): Allow (PACKAGE OUTPUT), (PACKAGE), and
  PACKAGE.
  (<operating-system>)[packages]: Make the default a list of package?
  objects.
* gnu/system/vm.scm (%demo-operating-system): Likewise.  Add a few
  packages.
